We’ve been watching Canada closely for a while. Not from a distance. From inside the institutions, the policy debates, the conversations that happen in rooms nobody reports from. What we’ve seen is a country whose founding covenant, peace, order, and good government, has been systematically broken, while the people who broke it congratulate themselves for doing so.

Unapologetically Unobjective

We are an independent publication. Not the voice of any organization, society, or political party. If you’re looking for an official organ, you’re in the wrong place. What you’ll find here is a perspective, one that takes Canada’s institutional heritage, its constitutional machinery, and its demographic trajectory seriously, and treats the changes of the past decade not as inevitable but as chosen. What was chosen can be reconsidered.

We won’t pretend to be objective. No publication is. The Globe and Mail pretends to be. The CBC doesn’t even bother anymore. The difference is we’re telling you the lens upfront: the Dominion, as a constitutional order, as an inheritance, as something worth preserving, is the frame. If that offends you, this isn’t your publication. If it doesn’t, you’ve probably been looking for it.

An Elite Unobserved No More

Consider the current state of the Dominion, ruled by an unaccountable and largely unobserved Laurentian Elite, now under Prime Minister Mark Carney.

While Justin Trudeau spent a decade turning immigration into an open firehose, 3.2% population growth in a single year, housing bubble, wages suppressed, crime up, healthcare & education collapsing… highlighting the downstream effects was dismissed as racism by anyone in power.

Then Trudeau left, and Mark Carney was coronated. The promise was competence. What Canada got was continuity.

In June 2026, Carney stood beside B.C. Premier David Eby and announced a $3.2 billion bailout for developers who can’t sell condos priced at $1.1 million that nobody can afford. Rather than let the market correct, the public absorbs the loss.

And not even for Canadian real estate developers, but for primarily already scandal ridden Chinese funded development companies. Developers fund political parties. Parties regulate developers. Developers can’t sell. Parties bail out developers. The circle is not complicated. (The Bureau, CBC News, Business in Vancouver)

Or consider the graves that weren’t there. In 2021, the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation announced ground-penetrating radar had detected 215 “unmarked graves” at the former Kamloops residential school. Churches burned. Statues fell. The Pope came to apologize. Parliament declared “genocide” unanimously. Reporters used the word “remains” as if exhumations had confirmed them. They hadn’t. Five years on, not a single grave has been excavated. No bodies, no remains, no forensic confirmation of any kind.

And in May 2026, the Globe and Mail finally admitted it, calling the media’s coverage a “failure of journalism” and noting that the claims “require proof” that has never been produced. Hundreds of churches burned or vandalized. Arson excused and explained away. Billions in compensation launched on unverified claims. A country told for five years it was built on genocide. When the correction arrived, it arrived quietly, on the editorial page. (Globe and Mail, Quillette)

What This Publication Will Do

The Dominion Dispatch will cover the stories that fall through the cracks. Or more accurately, the stories that are pushed through the cracks by a press corps that has decided certain questions cannot be asked. The areas of coverage:

Immigration and Remigration. The policy choices, the numbers, the effects. Not as advocacy, but as reporting on a conversation that is happening everywhere except in the outlets that should be hosting it. Canada added 3.2% to its population in a single year. That’s a choice. It can be unchosen. The growing conversation around reducing immigration and reconsidering demographic trajectory is already happening. It’s just not happening in the Globe and Mail.

Heritage and Memory. The buildings being demolished. The monuments being renamed, vandalized, destroyed. The statues removed from parks. The civic education being dismantled. What a country loses when it stops understanding why it built things, and who decides which memories are disposable.

Institutional Accountability. Public bodies operating without scrutiny. Access-to-information failures. Lobbying. Policy decisions made in rooms nobody reports from. The Carney-Eby condo bailout is a case study: $3.2 billion in public money committed to foreign developers, and the terms of the deal are, as of this writing, undisclosed.

National Identity. The question institutions can’t answer: what is a Canadian? Not the marketing version with the immigration pamphlets, the Tim Hortons commercials, or the Tim Hortons hiring practices. The real answer, or an honest attempt at one.

The Premise

The Dispatch operates from a specific premise: that Canada’s founding covenant, institutional heritage, and demographic trajectory are worth taking seriously. That the changes of the past decade were not inevitable but chosen, and that what was chosen can be reconsidered, even reversed if necessary. That peace, order, and good government was not a punchline but a promise, and that the promise has been systematically broken.

This is a perspective, not a neutrality claim. We’re honest about it. We don’t apologize for it. We don’t pretend it’s something else.

Waiting for certainty is how stories die. The stories that matter are already happening. The question is whether anyone will tell them.
